If the signature field does not appear, the PDF may be protected or restricted by the author. In that case, you cannot add a signature unless the permissions allow it. If your drawn signature looks blurry, increase the size of the drawing area or use a higher-resolution image. On some older versions of Reader, the Fill & Sign tool may be missing; updating to the latest version usually resolves this.

Security Considerations

Adobe Reader does not encrypt or password-protect a signed PDF by default.
