Importing MP3 Files to Your iPhone

Using iTunes or Finder
Connect your iPhone to a computer with a USB cable. Open iTunes on a PC or macOS Mojave and earlier, or open Finder on macOS Catalina and later. Select your device when it appears. Go to the Music section and check "Sync Music." Choose the specific MP3 files or playlists you want to transfer, then click Apply or Sync to copy them to your iPhone.
Downloading Directly to iPhone
If the MP3 file is online, you can save it without a computer. Open Safari and find the download link. Tap the link to start the download, then open the Files app to locate the MP3. To play it in Apple Music, tap the file and choose Share, then Add to Library or Add to Playlist.
Using Third-Party Apps
Apps like VLC or Documents by Readdle offer an alternative. Download the app from the App Store, transfer the MP3 file to the app via iTunes file sharing or a cloud service, and play it inside the app. These apps often support more file types and don't require syncing through Apple Music.
Verifying Your Library
After importing, open the Music app on your iPhone. If you synced files, they appear in your library. If you used the Files app, you can find them under the Downloads folder or search for the track name. For downloads, ensure iCloud Drive syncs are enabled if you want the file available across devices.
