How to Set Up a GoTo Meeting

To set up a GoTo Meeting, you need a GoTo account, a scheduled start time, and the meeting details you want to share. Once those are in place, you can launch a session from the GoTo Meetings dashboard or calendar integration and invite attendees via email or a shared link.

Create or Sign In to Your GoTo Account

Go to the GoTo website and sign in with your existing credentials. If you do not have an account, select the sign-up option and follow the prompts to create a profile. After logging in, verify that your profile shows the correct name and email so attendees can identify you easily.

Schedule the Meeting

From the GoTo Meetings dashboard, choose the option to schedule a new meeting. Enter a title, select a date and time, and set the duration. You can also add a description or agenda to give attendees context before they join.

Configure Meeting Settings

Before sending invitations, review the session settings. Decide whether attendees need to register, if video should be on by default, and whether you want to enable recording. You can also set a passcode or waiting room option to control when participants enter the session.

Invite Attendees

Once the meeting is scheduled, copy the meeting link and send it to your participants. You can invite people directly from the GoTo interface by entering their email addresses, or paste the link into a calendar event. The invitation should include the date, time, time zone, and any dial-in phone numbers for audio-only access.

Start the Meeting

On the scheduled date, open GoTo Meetings and select the active session. Use the pre-meeting lobby to check your audio and video, and admit attendees as they arrive. During the session, use the toolbar to share your screen, manage participant permissions, or record the meeting for later review.
