How to Share a Single Event
You can share an individual event from Google Calendar by using the event's built-in link or by sending an invitation. This is useful when you want specific people to see a meeting or appointment without giving them access to your full schedule.

Open Google Calendar on your computer or app and click or tap the event you want to share. Look for the share icon or the option to add guests. If you choose to add guests by email, they will receive an invitation with the event details, and their response will be tracked in your calendar. If you prefer a read-only link, copy the event link and send it to anyone you want to view the details.
Sharing a Single Event on Mobile
- Open the event on the Google Calendar app.
- Tap the menu icon or the share button.
- Choose between sending an email invitation or copying a shareable link.
Sharing Your Entire Google Calendar
If you need someone to see multiple events or your general availability, you can share your entire calendar. This gives them a view of your schedule without needing an invitation for each event.
Go to Google Calendar on a computer, find the calendar you want to share in the left panel, click the three dots next to it, and select Settings and sharing. Under the "Share with specific people" section, add the email addresses of the people you want to grant access. You can choose whether they can see all event details, see only free/busy time, or make changes to the calendar.
Permission Levels for Shared Calendars
| Permission | What They Can Do |
|---|---|
| Make changes and manage sharing | Full edit access, can add or delete events and share the calendar with others. |
| Make changes to events | Can edit existing events and add new ones, but cannot manage sharing settings. |
| See all event details | Read-only access to the full content of every event on the calendar. |
| See only free/busy | Can view when you are available or occupied, but cannot see event titles or locations. |
Troubleshooting and Tips
If a shared event or calendar is not visible to someone, check that the link is not restricted to only specific people and that you have not set the sharing permissions to private. Changes to a shared calendar usually appear in the other person's view within a few minutes, but they may need to refresh their browser or app to see the update. You can also stop sharing an event or calendar at any time by returning to the sharing settings and removing the person's access.
